Recharge Minnesota is pleased to announce an exciting inaugural group of recognition participants in this new statewide program for EV leaders. Recognition partners include Recharge America, Fresh Energy, the Olseth Family Foundation, and this group of leaders and communities from across Minnesota.
Organizations recognized by Recharge Minnesota have each pledged to take positive actions related to EVs that fit their circumstance and share their experiences to help others learn. The video on the left spotlights their work.
Recharge Minnesota Recognizes Leaders in Our State
Top companies, schools, civic leaders, and others in Minnesota are driving towards clean transportation. Recharge Minnesota is a program recognizing their work in supporting the use of zero emission vehicles (ZEV) for their operations, employees, and communities. Recharge Minnesota participants have created a ZEV action team and plan that includes implementing one or more ongoing programs to help more people gain access to clean transportation. Employee programs spotlight vehicle options, provide incentives and offer charging.
ZEVs in fleets reduce operating costs while cutting air and noise pollution.

Recharge Minnesota grew out of a community initiative initially fostered by key participants in Recharge Mankato. The initiative will grow to include communities statewide in the coming months and year. Outreach and recognition partners will also grow as the program evolves. The initial outreach and recognition partners are the Olseth Family Foundation and Fresh Energy.
Participation in Recharge Minnesota Only Requires Three Steps:
Create an EV action plan appropriate to your circumstance and submit it to the to the website within four months of submitting your pledge; either with your initial pledge or shortly after, share your EV action plan with Recharge Minnesota.
Report on your progress in implementing the plan within one year of its submittal.

Zero Emission Vehicle Definition and Terms
Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) includes Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) powered solely by an electric battery, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) powered by a combination of an electric motor and a gasoline engine, and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV) fueled by hydrogen.
The term Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) is a subset of ZEVs and includes both PHEVs and BEVs. These terms may apply to cars, vans, all size trucks, buses, and off-road equipment like commercial lawn care products or material handling equipment.

Recharge America is an initiative aimed at spurring collaboration across states and communities to harness the economic opportunity presented by a rapid transition to electric vehicles that can serve all Americans.
